English Schools Cross Country VLOG

Three of the athletes selected for the Sussex Senior Boys team for the English Schools Cross Country, Tom Eames, Joe Clayson and Tomer Tarragano have been producing vlogs through the season. Although Tom was injured and unable to compete, his colleagues have produced a final video of their personal experiences over the weekend at the ESAA Championships. It gives a real flavour of what the English Schools XC is all about for the athletes.

Weather threatens Schools Cross Country

Officials from Sussex Schools AA organising the Sussex Schools Year 7 & 8 Cross Country Championships on Thursday are monitoring conditions at the venue and the weather forecast. A decision as to whether or not to cancel the event will be made on Wednesday morning (28/02/18) and it will be announced here on this web site as soon as possible on Wednesday. This will enable schools to amend plans for Thursday if necessary.

Indoor Championships Update

On further scrutiny of the results from weekend Indoor Championships, another Championship Best has been identified. It came in the last event of the weekend, the Under 17 men's Triple Jump, where Brighton's Louis Goffin exceeded the old record (12.26) in each of his four valid jumps. The first of these was his best at 12.75 - just 1 cm below his pb. That makes 10 new names from the two days of competition to be added to the list of CBP's.
