There is still plenty of athletic activity this weekend with the final Lower Age Group Youth Development League matches being held on Saturday and the U17 Inter-Counties at Ashford on Sunday.

Brighton athletes Edan Cole and Amber Anning will be in action at Ashford on Saturday at the Home Countries Schools International match.

The Schools International match is only for the Intermediate age group and Cole will be throwing the javelin and Anning will be racing over 300m.

Crawley’s Surrey sprinter Joe Massimo will be in action at the European Youth Championships at Tbilsi in Georgia in the 200 metres on Friday.

The South of England Combined events will be held at Horspath on Saturday and Sunday although I do not know whether there are any athletes from Sussex competing.

In the YDL matches Crawley will be in action in Division West One at Walton while in Division East One will be Brighton & Hove at Chelmsford,

In Division West Two Horsham Blue Star and Chichester travel to Woking and East Grinstead, Hastings, Lewes and Worthing will be competing in Division Two East at Hastings.
