Seventh U15 league victory for Crawley

Crawley Athletic Club won their seventh Sussex U15 League final comfortably from Brighton & Hove at Withdean Stadium on Friday evening.

Leading from early in the programme they never looked like being headed and eventually finished well clear with 486 points to Brighton & Hove’s 406 point who only just managed to turn the tables on last year’s runners up, Chichester, who totalled 402 with the rest of the teams more than one hundred points adrift.

Rollercoaster of Results for Sussex clubs at the 2nd YDL

Once again the weather was glorious as Sussex's leading under 13 and under 15 athletes competed in their second Youth Development League fixtures across the south-east of England.

Brighton & Hove AC was the only team to retain the top spot in the East 1 fixture, which was again hosted by Lewes AC. Brighton dominated the event winning by 156 points from second placed Lewes, with a score of 618.

Under 13 Dulcie Yelling again tipped the javelin over the 30 metre mark with a throw of 30.01m, whilst Mollie Barrett ran a 4:05.5 1200m.
